August 2,
2008

students picked the theme of Animal Kingdom, L.K.G.
sang about Animals and U.K.G children praised Trees in
their song. The tiny tots gave the message of planting

STRESS – FREE AND
ENLIGHTENED YOUTH OF CTPS
August 4, 2008
Ten days ‘ stress free
and positive life skills’ programme
for
adolescents was inaugurated in the premises of CT
Public School. This project has been launched
keeping in mind the CBSE directions as the growing
children are facing numerous psychological, emotional
and spriitual problems which are hampering their
‘total growth’
The programme starts
with meditation. Meditation is followed with a small
moral preaching and Pranayanma and a Yoga session.
Control of the body through posture is the first step
and control of the breath is the second, which
eventually leads to control of the prana or life force
The whole programme is based on emotional control and
inner progress
of the child. Kapal Bhati, Anilom Vilom and various
other Asanas of Yoga are bringing fruitful and
quick results. Nadi Shodhana - Alternate Nostril
Breathing is a simple yogic exercise which is stressed
upon. It produces optimum functioning of both sides
of the brain – optimum creativity and optimum logical
and verbal activity. It creates a balanced person.
This is the best technique to calm the mind and the
nervous system.
This programme is
working wonders in sobering down aggressive students.
According to the Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder kaur the
sound character in sound body is the base of sound
family, society & nation.
