SANTA
COMES CALLING AT CT PUBLIC SCHOOL – CHRISTMAS
CELEBRATED IN KINDERGARTEN.

A grand Christmas Bash
was held in the Kindergarten of CT Public School on
Dec
22, 2007. The tiny tots of nurseries and K.Gs
welcomed santa claus singing ‘Jingle Bells, Jingle
Bells…..’. All the students and teachers wore santa
Caps and masks. Birth of ‘Baby Jesus’ was welcomed
and celebrated with carols making the air joyous and
holy. The Kindergarten was decorated beautifully with
stars, bells and even snow! How could santa claus
miss this address – CT Public School.
A fancy dress
competition was held on this occasion for
pre-nurseries and nurseries. Dresed up in various
costumes the ting tots looked like angles. ‘God Bless
You All’ were the words that came on everybody’s lips.
Chief-guest of the day,
Co-Chairperson Mrs.Parminder kaur Channi joined the
celebration and cut the Christmans Cake. Principal
Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur gave the message of universal
brotherhood, love and friendship to all present. She
said we must keep alive this spirit in our heart for
ever. Vice-Principal Mrs. Anumita Gosal &
Kindergarten Incharge – Mrs. Anuradha Sharma were also
present. Parents had also been invited for the
Charistmas Celebrations.

A painting competition
on ‘Energy Conservation’ was organised by
Bhakra Beas Management Board- BBMB on school distt.
and state level. Two students of CT Public School,
Kavya Khuran – IV-B and Shefali Dhawan – IV-B were
selected from 150 participants. They then competed on
State Level Competition held in Chandigarh and
received cash prizes of Rs. 1000/- each along with
trophies and gift hampers. The name of CT Public
School, the students’ names and their work has found
place in the gazette of BBMB.
‘CELEBRATION OF SHARING DAY’

Today CT Public School
celebrated ‘Sharing Day’. The Participants from
classes 1st to IIIrd brought delicacies from their
homes and shared them with each other with a lot of
zeal and enthusiasm. The mutual co-operation and
the spirit of caring and sharing amongst the students
was worth seeing and deserves a speical mention.
Co-chairperson of CT Educational Society, Mrs.
Parminder Kaur Channi presided over the occasion.
The Principal of C T Public School, Mrs. Lakhvinder
Kuar, Vice – Principal, Mrs. Anumita Gosal, Mr. Vivek
Tiwari, Mrs. Anuradha Sharma and Mrs. Manju Virk were
also there to cheer up the students.
After eating their share
it was observed that nothing was left in the plates
and even the place where they sat was also neat &
tidy. The sharing Day was observed with a message-
‘Keep your surroundings clean’
SEMINAR ON MEDITATION AND YOGA
AT CT PUBLIC SCHOOL

Today a seminar on
Meditation and Yoga was presided over by Dr. Pooja
Jain
in
the premises of CT Public School. The teachers as
well as the students took great interest in it and
performed various activities of ‘meditation’ as well
as ‘yoga’ Dr. Pooja Jain guided the students how to
increase their efficiency in the field of education as
well as how to lead a stress free life. She
interacted with the students and highlighted the
various beneficial tips of meditation/yoga which can
help them to overcome their various physical,
emotional, intellectual problems.
The Principal, Mrs.
Lakhvinder Kaur and the Co-chairperson Mrs. Parminder
Kaur thanked her for sharing her valuable tips and
also appreciated her efforts for the welfare of
society.
SAHODAYA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS MATHS QUIZ CONTEST

Sahodaya Independent
Schools Maths Quiz Contest,07 was hosted by CT Public
School on 15th, Dec 2007 in the premises of the school
in which about 15
CBSE
schools from all over Jalandhar participated with
great zeal and enthusiasm. Some of the teams were from
APJ, BSF, Kendriya Vidyalya Dayanand Model, CT Public
school etc. The quiz was from I to VIII std and there
were two categories. First category was I to V and
second category VI to VIII. Each team comprised of
three participants from a school. The teams were short
listed in the preliminary round and second round was
the Final round. There were three rounds for the Ist
Category i.e Logical Ability Round, Visual Round,
History of Indian Mathematicians and Rapid fire Round.
The quiz was co-ordinated by HOD Maths Mr. Sudhir
Arora and conducted by HOD English, S.Hardeep Singh
Pun. The mental ability and the interest of the
participants were worth seeing. 
In this contest, First
position in category I (Classes I-V) was bagged by CT
Public School, Second position was bagged by Police
DAV Public School. In Category II (Classes VI to VIII)
First position was bagged by again CT Public School
and for the second place again there was a tie of
Apeejay School & Innocent Hearts School.
The Principal of the
school Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the winning
teams and blessed the other school teams to try their
best, next time. She appreciated the endeavors of all
the participants and thanked the teachers from
different schools for their benign presence. Overall
the Shodaya Independent Schools Inter School Maths
Contest was a grand success.
CT Pians – Scaling Greater Heights In I.T. World

International
Informatics Olympiad was conducted by the
Computer
Literacy Foundation (on International Level). 123
students of CT Public School participated and got
excellent ranks on State Level as well as
International Level. Students getting First, Second &
Third positions received Gold, Silver & Bronze medals
on Class Level. Participation certificates were
awarded to all the students.
We are proud to announce
that Tanu Loyal student of Std. IV stood 32nd on
International Level. She will be representing CT
Public School in the Second round of the Olympiad. She
has received a Gold Medal, a certificate of
appreciation and a Parker Pen. The Principal of the
School , Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the
Computer Department and encouraged the students to
keep up their hardwork.

indelible
mark on the audience at ‘Shadeed Darshan Singh
Pheruman Public School’, Rayya where they had gone to
participate in Inter-School Story Telling and Poem
Recitation Competition on 4 December, 2007.
Aastha Khurana bagged
First Prize in the Story Telling Competition. Sakshi
got second Prize in Poem Recitation Competition.
Again, in the Poem Recitation Category, Shaisbi
Bhowmick of CT Public School got a consolation Prize.
Shivani Mittal received a Participation Certificate.
THE YOUNG AND GENIUS – MATHEMATICIANS OF CT PUBLIC
SCHOOL

Jalandhar Independent
Schools Sahodaya Science and Maths Exhibition was
held
at Eklavya School, Jalandhar on 1st Dec, 2007 in which
15 schools from Jalandhar participated. In Maths IX
– XII group, the model Mensuration.: Derivations and
Comparision of Volumes and surface Area was prepared
by the students of C T Public School which bagged the
First Position. Students Jasmeen Kaur Verma and
Yatisha Kalia of Std. IX demonstrated by concrete
method how to derive the Volume and Surface Area of
Cylinder, Cone and Sphere through activities. They
also demonstrated the comparision between Volume of
Cylinder and Cone, Cylinder and Sphere. Students
were guided by Mrs. Sarabjeet and Mr. Pradeep.
Principal of the school,
Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the Mathematics
Department. She encouraged the students to deal with
Mathematics from a practical point of view so that it
can be inculcated in day to day life.
