         STUDENTS' SUMMIT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Students of C T Public School participated in a unique ‘Students summit on Climate change’ here today in which they showed keen involvement and understanding of present day climate situation and factors responsible for it.

The students made two groups: - One group represented Developed Nations such as U.S.A, Japan and other nations from EU. The other group comprised of students representing under developed and developing nations such as India, China, Brazil etc.

It looked almost like a real Summit with students behaving as responsible leaders raising questions of WHO IS RESPONSIBLE for climate change? Who has been emitting most carbon so far? Are China and India to be blamed while they produce for the developed nations i.e. the real consumers? The students prepared slogans, posters and made models of balanced eco-system and support the need of more trees on earth.

Unlike the leaders at Copenhagen, these student leaders representing developed and rich nations were eager to find solutions and to support financially the less developed nations to control the rising temperature. The students reached at an understanding and signed to work not as nations but as inhabitants of one planet EARTH because the truth is we need to save It.!

The Managing Director of CT Educational Society, Mr. Manbir Singh acknowledged the enthusiasm of the students and the efforts put in by Vice Principal Mrs. Anumita Gosal & Activity in charge Ms. Pooja Sharma.
