                    CT Kindergarten Celebrates Lohri

                                      The sharing way….

The festival of Lohri was celebrated in the Kindergarten of CT Public School in a unique way.  A food sharing activity was arranged.  Food was shared by all the kids and their teachers -sitting together around the bonfire, the kids enjoyed the warmth of fire, food and festivity.  The feeling of community lunch was experienced.  The teachers sang Lohri songs for the ting tots and distributed groundnuts and rewaris to one and all.  Co-Chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur, Vice-Principal Mrs. Anumita Gosal attended the celebration. 

Mrs. Anuradha Sharam, Incharge CT Kindergarten feels that in order to inculcate feelings of equality,  brotherhood and appreciation of culture, such activities are very essential.

 

                 ONE – DAY WORKSHOP ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

            Jalandhar, Jan 12, 2008

A workshop on Effective English Language Teaching and use of English Lab. was hosted by CT Public School in the Meeting Hall on12th Jan, 2008 in collaboration with VIVA Education, Delhi which was attended by English Teaching Faculty & Principals from fifteen different CBSE schools all over Jalandhar.  The Resource person of the day was an eminent educationist Mrs. Brinder Aulakh, a former Director of the Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh who updated the English teaching faculty in grammar, stylistics, writing and communication skills.  The key resource persons of this workshop were vice Principal Mrs.Anumita Gosal and HOD English Mr. Hardeep Singh Pun.

The workshop was a refresher course to help the teaching faculty to be conscious to revive what has not been applied for, so far. The teachers from different schools felt rejoiced to learn all this which had gone through their subconscious minds and insisted the authorities to install such workshops from time to time.  The Principal of the school Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur expressed her sincere gratitude to Mrs. Brinder Aulakh and Mr. Rajesh Mohan, VIVA Education.  She also thanked the Principals and English faculty from different schools. She felt rejoiced having seen the workshop in progress and declared that such workshops, to update the teaching faculty would be initiated in future.  A lunch was also served to the guest teachers.

 

                 LOHRI CELEBRATION IN CT PUBLIC SCHOOL

            Jalandhar January 11, 2008                 

A  colourful and warm celebration marked the festival of Lohri in CT Public School.  All the students and teachers collected to sing and dance.  A bonfire was lit and bhangra, giddha and Lohri sons were presented by the students.   A small talk on the importance of Lohri was also presented. Groundnuts, rewaris til bhugga etc were distributed to all the students and teachers. 

Chairman CT Group of Institutions, S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Co-Chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Principal, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kur and Vice Principal Mrs. Anumita Gosal attended the celebration. 

Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur wished every one a warm and happy lohri.  She said this festival gives us the message of joy and ehtusiasm and may it bring prosperity in every body’s life.
