     CT CATERS FOR CIVIC CITIZEN

Jalandhar November 30,  2007

To train and harness little children means- an investment in a generation that will hold the reigns of Future.

CT Kindergarten today took all its tiny-tots for a unique visit – visit to the Jalandhar Railway Station! How was this unique? Well ! all the children were taken for a train ride to give them a practical lesson on how to use public transport system RESPONSIBLY. Kids were given chocolates on board and then asked to put the wrappers into dustbins only. DO NOT LITTER the public transport was a lesson instilled in them for the life time.

Prior to the journey, the students were shown the Railway Station including the Ticket Counter, the Platform, the Waiting room, the Schedule Board etc. Kids were excited to actually meet the Railway officials in their uniforms. They were also fascinated by the parents and recited poems like ‘Piggy on the Railways’ right on Railway Station itself ! Teachers of CT Kindergarten were all the time on their toes to give the children the best exposure of the Railways- India’s pride.

Principal of CT Public School, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur said that, “In India there is no dearth of resources or facilities. Only, we as the citizens need to develop a sense of responsibility to use public property wisely. So in CT Kindergarten we are trying to educate the future of India”

This unique visit to the Railway Station and ride from Jalandhar to Adampur left the kids exuberant. The platform or the train – they were fascinated by every thing. A smile on a kids’ face just for the train ride – how simple, yet how beautiful ! Divisha of U.K.G (A)  said, “ Mam I love you for bringing me here.” Samarth of L.K.G (B) expressed his joy by singing “ Chuk Chuk ” and “Train is fun.” The Railway Authorities at Jalandhar as well as at Adampur were a great support
