SPORTS FIESTA IN CT KINDERGARTEN

CT
Public School today organised a unique sports meet in
CT
Kindergarten for the tiny tots of ages 2 ˝ to 5
years. The idea was to instil love for games and
sports in the young ones, to discover their talent and
to channelise their energy in a positive way.
Cheerful students of nursery, L.K.G. and U.K.G were a
reflection of their enjoyment Even the Pre-nursery
children participated.

The
mascot of the Sports Fiesta was ‘Mickey Mouse’and the
opening ceremony involved balloon fleeing by the
Chief Guest – S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman
CT
Educational Society, Co-Chairperson Mrs. Parminder
Kaur Channi, Managing Director Mr. Manbir Singh,
Director General Administration Mr. K.K. Dhir also
graced the occasion, Principal of the School. Mrs.
Lakhvinder Kaur and Vice-Principal Mrs. Anumita Gosal
were also present.
March Past by U.K.G. students was superb and the oath
taking Ceremony to play in full spirit and zeal was
administered by Incharge Kindergarten, Mrs. Anuradha
Sharma. The pride and sincerity of the children at
that particular point impressed the audience which
comprised of the parents of the children.
A
number of track and field events were organised
such as – Handshake Race, Partners Race, Mask Race,
Flag Race, Frizbee Throw, Long Jump, Hurdle Race etc.
The yoga display by U.KG children was remarkably
good. Students securing first, second and third
positions were given medals and certificates but even
the participants were given medals and certificates to
boost their confidence.
Dance performance on “Chak De India” stole the show.
Western Dance ones song “Give Me a Song to sing” and
Punjabi dance on Chapa – Chapa Charkha Chale were a
grand success. It was very nice to see the little
ones dancing in their dazzling costumes, Principal of
the School Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur said that Chak De
India Spirit was in full swing and efforts such as
these can go a long way in making India a nation of
healthy, strong and positively directed individuals.
BUDDING CRICKETERS OF CT PUBLIC SCHOOL

Under the banner T-20,
CT Public School waged a war against the Crickets of
Kendriya Vidyalaya IV, Suranassi on7th October,
2007. This cricket match was of 20 overs which was
contested on the grounds of Kendriya Vidyalya,
Suranassi. Under the able guidance of Cricket Coach
Mr. Jagatjit, the team CT Public School won the toss
and decided to bat first, and scored 124 runs.
Harjaspreet Singh from X-C did a wonderful job for the
team and scored 58 runs, which was a marvellous
contribution and in reply the Kendriya Vidyalaya team
made 103 runs and were all out. The talented off
spinner, Harjaspreet took 3 important wickets of the
opponents and thus CT Public School emerged victoriou.
The fabulous triumph of the team was appreciated by
Madam Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur and she
congratulated all the participants and blessed them to
the best in the near future.
ANOTHER BOY SELECTED AT NATIONAL LEVEL.

District Level Kick
Boxing Championship was organised by P.S.E.B. at
Dayanand Model School, Model Town, Jalandhar on 21st
September in which six teams all over Jalandhar
participated. Sahil from XII Commerce participated in
the Senior Kick Boxing and in Three Fights he knocked
down his opponents and emerged as a winner. Sahil
bagged a Gold medal and brought laurels to school. He
was then selected for the State Level Boxing
Championship to be held on 6th Oct, 2007 and entered
the Semi finals. 
Sahil participated in
the State Level Boxing Champtionship held at Sangrur
from 6th Oct to 10th of Oct’2007 and once again he
knocked out his opponent hailing from Amritsar in
thirteen seconds and won a Silver Medal. Now, the
Sahil has entered the finals and it is an honour of
the institution that he has been selected at National
Level. He will be facing his opponent at the
National Level Kick Boxing, 2007 at Orissa in the 2nd
week of December’2007.
The Principal of the
School Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur appreciated the endeavours
of Sahil and congratulated him on achieving excellence
and blessed him to be the best at National Level.
INTER HOUSE ROLLER SKATING MATCH.

Under the able guidance
and supervision of Mr. Sarvesh Oberoi, an Inter House
Roller Skating match
between Satluj House and Beas
House was contested amongst the hostlers on 10th
October, 2007 in the Skating Rink at CT Public School. The young budding skaters showed their skills
enthusiastically in the Rink and Satluj House won by
6-1 in the Roller Hockey. In the girls beat, beas
house won over Satluj House in the Rink Race and
emerged victorious. The Vice Principal Mrs. Anumita
Gosal, Kindergarten Incharge Mrs. Anuradha Sharma,
Hostel Incharge Mr. Sanjeev
Panday graced the occasion
with their benign presence and appreciated the
endeavours of the budding skaters of CT Public
School. The boarders enjoyed the match with great
fervour and cheered up their contestants.
The Principal of the
school Mrs. Lakhvinder kaur congratulated the winning
houses on their success and motivcated the opponent
team to produce a better result in the next contest.
The Roller Skating Match was a spectacular event and a
grand feast to the eyes of the audience.

Two men look out
Through the same bars

sees the mud and
One
sees the flowers !
Most of us are so caught up with our daily busy schedule that we hardly
notice the beauty of life. Our soul demands a
communion with nature, our surroundings and beauty.
So, with an aim of train the spirit of the young ones
so that they can appreciate the Colours, warmth and
loveliness of flowers, an Inter- House Flower
arrangement Competition was held in CT Public School.
It was held in four categories:
1. Fresh Flower Arrangement.
2. Dry Fower Arrangement.
3. Combination of Dry and Fresh Flowers.
4. Foliage.
Students of all the four houses i.e. Jasmine House,
Marigold House, Rose house and Lotus House
participated with full zeal and the work was amazing.
Each arrangement on display was unique and captions
were so gripping. In fact, it was difficult to move
on to the next without contemplating on the theme
presented. To describe the beauty of those
arrangements in words is a difficult job.
One arrangement was captioned ‘Victory’ While another said
Nuclear 1,2,3 Deal – Is it Worth ? Peace’. There was
the ‘Glory of A Peacock’ and ‘God’s Love – new Each
Day’. The judgment was difficult but of course had
to be …..
C T KINDERGARTEN CONCLUDES WORKSHOP TIME TO RADIATE –
YOU & ME

A
four day workshop entitled TIME TO RADIATE -
YOU
AND ME - is being conducted in CT Public School
(Kindergarten) to bridge the gap between parent,
teacher and child. The resource person ,Madam
Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur is sharing her views
about parent child interaction, moods of the child,
EQ development of the child, child’s creativity and
receptivity etc.
Today, she told some finger and wrist exercises to
strengthen the muscles of the tiny tots.
Parents were delighted to see their child on the
screen performing different and day to day activities
in the school. Class Incharge Mrs. Harkamal Kaur
showed various writing patterns and her children
performed wonderfully well while enacting the poem
with their teacher amidst the whole gathering.
Nursery-wing Incharge thanked the parents and
suggested them to be humble,
patient listeners, ever gracious and ever loving while
nurturing their tiny saplings. This workshop will
conclude on october 5, 2007 as it will go on classwise.
SHINING LUMINARY OF CT PUBLIC SCHOOL

Punjab School Swimming Championship was organised from 29th
September to
3rd
October, 2007 at the District Swimming pool at Ropar
in which participants
from
all over Punjab region actively took part. In under 14
Category,
SHAURYA PRAPTAP SINGH KHURANA hailing from C T Public
School, Jalanhdar won a Gold Medal in the 400mtrs
Medley Relay Race and two Silver Medals in 50mtrs
Breast Stroke and 100mtrs Breast Stroke.
It is a great pride for the institution that he has been
selected for NATIONAL LEVEL SWIMMING COMP. which will
be held in
Surat (Gujrat). The Principal of the School Mrs.
Lakhvinder Kaur, congratulated Shaurya Pratap on his
success and blessed him to touch the zenith in this
field.
