CTPS SWIMMERS EXCEL IN C.B.S.E NORTH ZONE SWIMMING
COMPETITION (2008-09)

C.B.S.E North Zone Swimming Competition 2008-09 was
held at Gateway International School Sonepat, Haryana
in which the swimmers of CT Public School took part
and brought laurels to the school.
Shauraya Pratap Singh got 2 Gold Medals in 50M and
100M Breast Stroke event.
Vishavpreet Kaur
picked a Silver Medal in 100M Butterfly and one Bronze
Medal in 200M Free Style
Ramandeep Kaur won 2
Bronze Medals in 50M and 100M Breast Stroke events.
For exhibiting
exceptional swimming talent, 2 of CTPS swimmers,
Shaurya Pratap Singh and Vishavpreet Kaur have been
selected for National Games

their parents and sports departments.
DECLAMATION ON GURU LADO RE DIVAS AT CT PUBLIC SCHOOL
October’06, 2008.
Sikh Community is known for its faith, sacrifice and
commitment, since ages. Today the whole world
recognises this community and keeping in view, the
prestige of this faith, CT Public School organized a
Declamation Contest on the auspicious occasion of
‘Guru Lado Re Divas’ on October 06, 2008. This
Declamation Contest was organized with the
co-operation of Baba Makhan Shah Lubana Foundation (Regd)
Chandigarh in which about 19 schools from in and
around Jalandhar participated enthusiastically with
great fervor.
Participants of the contest were made aware of the
episode of ‘Guru Lado Re’ of Sikh religion and were
given topics:-
1. Impact of Guru Lado Re episode on Sikh Religion
2. Contribution of youth in eradication of social evils
from society.
Students expressed their
powerful ideas and psychology on the topics. The
laudable efforts of the speakers were appreciated by
all and sundry. The top rankers of the contest were:

3. Simarpreet Kaur -- Guru

S. Sarabjit Singh Makkar
graced the occasion with his benign presence and
appreciated the endeavors of the contestants and the
contest. Later, he distributed prizes to the winners.
Dr. Rattan Singh Ajnala (M.P.) also graced the
occasion.

Co-chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur, M.D Mr. Manbir
Singh, Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur, V.P Mrs.
Anumita Gosal were present at this auspicious
occasion.
The Principal of the
school, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the winners
and remarked that this Declamation Contest was a
memorable one, and in the near future such efforts
would be made to safeguard religions, Community,
heritage and culture.
To conclude, Chairman CT
Educational Society presented a token of memory to the
Chief Guest Sardar Sarabjit Singh Makkar. The
Declamation contest was organized by President Er.
Harbhajan Singh and Convener Er. Manjit Singh of
Makhan Shah Lubana Foundation.
AN INTERSECTION SOCCER MATCH

October 15, 2008.
Soccer is an upcoming sport of this world. To make
the students familiar with this global game and be
well versed with it, the school has introduced soccer
matches.
Today in CT Public
School an intersection soccer match was held between I
(A) and I (B). Blooming buds of both the sections
faced neck to neck competition. They showed their
love for football with full zeal and spirit. I (A)
won the match by 2 – 1. Principal madam encouraged
the players and guided them with certain tips for
their upliftment in the sports field. At the end the
refreshment was given to the students.

DIWALI- “The Festival of Lights celebrated
in CT Public School”

In
a unique celebration held on the occasion of Diwali,
the students of classes I-III participated in the
decoration of earthen lamps, candles and card making.
The unique thing about this activity was that all
students gave shape to their ideas by using colours,
glitters etc with their tiny hands. They participated
with festive delight and then the reception area of
the school was decorated by them with the theme- ‘May Diwali Bring prosperity and joy to all! Principal Mrs.
Lakhvinder Kaur encouraged the efforts of the blooming
buds and showered her love and blessings on them. She
advised the students to remember that good is always
victorious over evil, no matter how difficult the
fight may be!
CAMLIN COLOUR CONTEST AT CTPS
A
Camel Colour Contest by Camlin India was held in the
premises of CT Public School in which students hailing
from classes I to X participated enthusiastically and
with great fervor, to portray their hidden talents.
The contest was categorized in four groups and the
judgment was given by the jury comprising of Mrs.
Anjana Sharma, Ms. Seema Narang and Mrs. Pushpinder
Kaur.
