Celebrated  -   “Sharing Day”

 The instinctive behaviors of the kids was reflected when students of standards – Ist, IInd and IIIrd celebrated the sharing day on 10th Jan, 07  in the premises of CT Public School. The Students in a very disciplined and well mannered way assembled in the Common hall and shared the community lunch under the able supervision of the activity In-charge and their respective class In-charges. The Principal, Mrs. Lakhwinder Kaur  in her presidential remarks said, “Sharing Day is a day on which the students not only learn to dine in a group but also to share their joys and sorrows, to shoulder responsibilities and to co-operate others”. It infuses in thus mind to work accordingly.

 

DECLAMATION CONTEST

AVNI SHARMA of Class 9th won second prize in a declamation contest organised by BHARAT VIKAS PARISHAD on the topic - HIND DI CHADAR SRI GURU TEG BAHADUR. It was held on November 26, 2006.

 

10th Annual Prize Distribution Day

On 25th November, 2006 the Tenth Annual Prize Distribution Function of CT Public School was organized successfully. The Chief Guest of the day was Sardar Partap Singh Bajwa, Cabinet Minister of School Education and Guest of Honour S. Tejinder Singh Bittoo, Chairman Jalandhar Improvement Trust. The function was attended by Chairman CT Educational Society S. Charanjit Singh, Co-Chairperson Mrs Parminder Kaur, Managing Director Mr Manbir Singh, Educationists, Dignitaries, distinguished guests and parents. The function began with Saraswati Vandana followed Welcome Speech by Parvisha, the Head Girl of the school. The Principal Mrs Lakhwinder Kaur read out the Annual Report and announced the names of different rank achievers. Different item in the culture program were performed by the students which included kindergarten dance, Orchestra, Himachali dance, Nritya Natika, English Play “Mothers Day and Punjabi folklore “Vyah Kartare da”. Nritya Natika based on the burning issue of female foeticide and English play were appreciated and praised by the audience and received the loudest applause. The Chief Guest gave away Prizes and Scholarships to the students who stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their respective classes and other co-curricular activities. Prizes were also distributed to the best singers, dancers, musicians from different categories. Thereafter, the Managing Director Mr. Manbir Singh announced the names of educationists, dignitaries and the Chief Guest S. Partap Singh Bajwa honoured them by presenting mementos. Chairman CT Educational Society Honoured the Chief Guest S. Partap Singh Bajwa and the Guest of Honour S.Tejinder Singh Bittoo. The Chief Guest, in his presidential remarks said, “These young students are the future of the nation” he advised and motivated the students to work hard to achieve their respective goals and aims in life. He congratulated all the prize winners and accentuates to do well in the near future. He appreciate and congratulated the staff, students and the management for the wonderful show and the hard work, and the effort put in by all to make this function a grand success. In the end the chairman thanked the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Parents and Audience for sparing their valuable time from their busy engagements for witnessing the grand event.

 

EXCURSION

One day educational trip was organised for students of Classes 6th and 7th on 18th November, 2006. Students visited CHAT BIR ZOO and SUKHANA LAKE and learnt about various birds animals and elements of nature.  At ROCK GARDEN the students studied how waste could be recycled or used to create wonderful things. It is an enjoyable and educative trip

 

MAGGI QUIZ

The MAGGI QUIZ was organized at CT Public School on Nov. 13th ,2006. The students appeared in the written G.K.Test. Those who got the highest marks in the test, represent the teams for the quiz. The quiz was based on general questions. Madam Principal praised the students fro actively participating in the quiz. Yukti from Class VI & Harpreet Singh from Class IV got the first position, whereas Gurvider and Asheen from Class V got the second position. The Third prize was bagged by Supreet Singh of Class VI and Shivani from Class IV. Madam Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and the team members of MAGGI QUIZ contest.

 

 

Athletic Meet 

10th Annual Athletic meet was organised in CTPS campus in October month. Students participated in various track and filed event in sub- junior, juniors and senior categories

CARNIVAL 2006

On 19th October, CT Kindergarten Carnival 2006, which was completely packed with fun and rides. Tiny tots danced on various tunes. They had a gala time with various cartoon characters.
