CT PUBLIC SCHOOL PAYS OBEISANCE TO HINDI.

There was great celebration in CT Public School today
in honour of Hindi language in order to celebrate
‘Hindi Divas’. Hindi Department of the school took
the initiative and all the teachers participated.
Origin of Hindi,
its development and present status
were highlighted. A need was felt to revive the
respect and honour that our mother tongue deserves.
Some teachers recited poems in Hindi while others gave
examples of good oratory. A quiz was conducted on the
‘History of Hindi as a Language and Indian History’
This lead to tremendous increase in general knowledge
of all those present. Efforts made by H.O.D. Hindi,
Mrs. Gurmeet Kaur and House Incharge of Jasmine House,
Mrs. Swaty Gupta were commedable. 
Principal of the school, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur graced
the occasion and encouraged the teachers to spread the
message of honouring ‘Hindi’ amongst their students.
She also took this opportunity to start ‘ Vitals’ club
which aims at promoting health awareness. Only if
the teachers are in a good state of health, they will
enjoy their work. Vice – Principal Mrs. Anumita Gosal
addressed the teachers and took them back to their
childhood by reciting a Hindi Poem she had learnt in
her Kindergarten days. Hind Divas was a grand success
at CT Public School.

POCKETS THE BRONZES IN
PUNJAB SCHOOL DISTRICT
LAWN TENNIS TOURNAMENT.

A two day Punjab School District Lawn Tennis
Tournament was organised on 7th & 8th Sept, 2007
in which eight schools from District Jalandhar Paticipated.
CT Public School participated in under 19 – Boys
category and won the third position. 
The Principal of the school Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur
congratulated the winning students Jasjeet Singh from
XI Science, Gopinder Singh XI Science and motivated
them to work hard to achieve a good rank in the near
future.
CT PUBLIC SCHOOL PROMOTES SOCCER.

An Inter Class Soccer Match was played on the
playgrounds of CT Public School between class I – A
and I – B. The team of I – A was clad in Red T
–Shirts and team I -B was attired in blue. The match
between the young and budding
footballers was
thrilling and exciting. Both the teams were exuberant
and played wonderfully. Till the half time there was
no score. In the later half Gurmehar from Blue Team
scored a goal on the apponent team and was equalised
by Arjun hailing from Red Team. Consequently,
Abhinav Panday in the last minutes scored another goal
and the Blue team emerged as a winner. Both the teams
were prepared and guided by Mr. Lakhbir Singh, H.O.D.
Sports Department. The Principal of the school Mrs.
Lakhvinder Kaur, Vice-Principal, Mrs. Anumita Gosal,
Co-ordinator and Activity Incharge Mr. Vivek Tiwari
were present to witness this interesting match. The
Principal and Vice -Principal congratulated the
winning team and remarked that such type of matches in
the primary must be organised off and on to build the
confidence level amongst the students and to promote
love for Soccer.
PUNJAB SCHOOL DISTRICT KICK BOXING TOURNAMENT.

On 21st September 2007, Punjab School District Kick
Boxing Tournament was organised in Dayanand Model
School at Model Town in which more than ten schools
participated with great fervour and zeal.
Sahil Kumar ( XII Commerce) from CT Public School
participated in the tournament in the under 19
category and brought laurels to the school by
clinching a Gold medal.
The Principal of the school Mrs.Lakhvinder Kaur
congratulated him on his success and blessed him to do
his best in the near future.
SOCCER SEASON IN CT PUBLIC SCHOOL.

“Soccer Season” is in full swing in
CT Public School. Boys as well as
Girls from classes I, II & III
are being given regular coaching by a professional coach and H.O.D.
Sports Mr. Lakhbir Singh.
A SOCCER TOURNAMENT was held during
this week in which the young ones displayed examplary
discipline, alertness and team spirit. Attired in red
and blue sports wear, the children brought the
football ground to life by their efforts to put the
ball into the goal-post of the opponent team.The
results of the tournament are as follows:-

Principal of the school Mrs.
Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the winning teams and
motivated all the students to continue playing the
game with energy and high spirits. Vice- Principal of
the school, Mrs. Anumita Gosal, Co-ordinator Mrs.
Manju Virk, Activity Incharge, Mr. Vivek Tiwari and
all the teachers of the junior classes were present to
buck up the children.
TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATIONS

To mark and commemorate the Birth Anniverssary of Dr.
Radha Krishnan, Teachers Day was celebrated 5th Sept,
2007 at CT Public School with great fervour and
zeal. The Chief Guest on the auspicious day was
Co-Chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur. A cultural show
full of excitement, fun and games was organised and
presented by Ishdeep kaur, Hemani Dheer and Trisha
Aggarwal, students from +2 Medical and Non-Medical
Rajwant Kaur from +1 Science threw light on the life
and teachings of Dr. Radha Krishanan and compliments
were given to the teaching staff. The students and
teachers presented a colourful function which left the
teaching faculty and Management enthralled. The main
attraction of the function was Funny News, Medley
Dance by +2 students and Coffee with Himanshu in which
he interviewed Vice Principal Mrs. Anumita and H.O.D.
of English Mr. Hardeep Singh Pun. On this auspicious
occasion, a well known and renowned Choreographer of
North India Mr. Gagun Bedi who is popular for his
Dancing, Aerobics and Weight loss session with dance
classes, interacted with the students of CT Public
School and gave them some important tips. 
The teaching faculty and management enjoyed the
programme presented in their honour, as a mark of
respect and gratitude.
Later, a delicious lunch at Sagar Ratna was organised
by teaching staff.
CT PUBLIC SCHOOL BAGS 2ND POSITION IN PUNJAB SCHOOLS
DISTRICT AQUATIC MEET, 2007.

A two day, Punjab Schools District Aquatic Meet,
2007 was organised in Sports School, Jalandhar on 5th
& 6th September in which twelve schools participated
and C T Public School won the oversall second position
in the championship. Swimmers from C T Public School
participated in all the categories viz under 11, 14,
16 & 19 and brought laurels to school by bagging 6
gold, 13 silver and 6 bronze medals.
Shaurya Pratap won 2 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze
medals, Ramit Khurana won 1 gold, 1 silver & 1
bronze, Harshdeep won 1 gold, 1 silver & 1 bronze,
Inderjit got 1 bronze, Manbir got 1 bronze, Vatsal
got 1 silver.
In the girls section Aastha Khurana bagged 1 gold &
1 silver, Kavya won 1 gold and 1 silver, Sharanpreet
Kaur won 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in under 11 &
14 years category. The Swimming team was led by Coach
Balwant Singh & Mr. Lakhvir Singh, H.O.D Sports
Department. The Principal of the school Mrs.
Lakhvinder Kaur congratulated the winners for doing a
commendable job and encouraged them to work harder to
be the number one.
