Educational Trip to U.S.A.
An
educational trip to U.S.A. was held in the Summer
Vacation.
A
group of 33 persons including 26 students and 7
teachers went on an 11 day educational programme
organised by EF Educational Tours Ltd. Co-Chairperson,
Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder
Kaur, Vice Principal Anumita Gosal also went along
with the students.
The group visited New York and
Florida. Students saw Times Square, Statue of Liberty,
World Trade Centre Site, Greenwich Village, St.
Patrick’s Cathedral etc. The sky scrapers of New York
and Manhattan were a unique experience. The group saw
a Broadway theatre- Phantom of the Opera. Visit to the
UN and a walk in session became a very educational and
memorable
experience.
In Orlando, NASA’s Kennedy space centre was a great
experience for the students. Flight simulators, visit
to the space museum, looking out at the space craft
launch site were unforgettable moments. Universal
Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, Magic Kingdom
Park and Sea World were enriching learning experiences
for the teachers & the taughts. Students came back
much more confident and enlightened. They pledged to
take India ahead in all fields.
Students also acted as representatives of Indian
Culture and tradition while on their trip to U.S.A.
They were also able to compare the differences between
India and U.S.A.
Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur said, “ U.S.A. trip was
remarkable one but my love for India has increased
many fold after this trip. Travel strengthens one’s
outlook and personality. So such travel experiences
are very important for the young generation.”
TRIP TO DEHRADUN, MUSSOORIE & RISHIKESH
Four
days trip to Dehradun, Mussoorie & Rishikesh was
organised by the School. 40 students under the
supervision of four teachers visited various tourist
spots. It was a welcome break from the pressure of
studies and the heat of the plains. Sahastra Dhara,
Kempty falls, Gunhill Point, Mall Road, Laxman Jhulla
were major attractions. The group also visited various
temples in Rishikesh. Such trips take the students to
the lap of nature
a nd
increase their
appreciation of the bounties of nature.
